Vinyl picket fence installation is putting up the classic open-style fence – evenly spaced vertical pickets that mark a boundary without blocking visibility – built in vinyl instead of traditional wood, which means the familiar picket fence look without the recurring paint and maintenance cycle wood requires.
This style fits front yards and properties where you want a defined boundary and classic curb appeal without full privacy, want to keep sightlines open between the yard and street or neighboring properties, or are replacing an aging wood picket fence that's warped, faded, or needs constant repainting and want the same look with none of the upkeep going forward.
We start by laying out the fence line and setting posts in concrete at intervals matched to the picket panel width you're installing. Picket fencing is generally shorter than privacy fencing, which means a lighter overall installation, but posts still need proper depth and concrete setting for long-term stability. Panels are installed between posts, checked for level across the property, and any gates are hung to match the picket style and spacing so the whole fence reads as one consistent design. Because picket fencing is open-style, alignment and consistent spacing matter more visually than with a solid privacy fence, so we pay close attention to keeping everything even across the full run.
Cost is generally lower than privacy fencing given the shorter height and lighter material used, with total linear footage being the main cost driver along with any site conditions. Properties in West Branch, IA doing a straightforward front-yard installation on flat ground typically see efficient, cost-effective installation with this style.
